My journey into the world of hairstyling began at a young age. I always knew I wanted to make people feel good. I am a natural giver and find joy in helping people. When I was scouted by a talent agency at 16, It was during the photoshoot that I discovered my love for makeup and hair. This newfound passion led me to enroll in the prestigious MUD Makeup Academy, where I honed my skills in special effects makeup, avant-garde looks, and, of course, hairstyling. I started my career focusing on styling and makeup. I learned that I love the connection I feel with clients behind the chair. To this day, I am passionate about what I do and find myself so lucky
that I get to do what I love for a living.
After obtaining my cosmetology license, I never stopped dreaming. As a dedicated mother of three, I understand the challenges of balancing personal aspirations with family responsibilities. Despite the demands of motherhood and raising a special needs child too , I remained driven and determined to turn my passion for hairstyling and business into a reality. That's how Retreat was born - my other baby, a place where beauty, relaxation, and rejuvenation come together

Having been a stylist for many years now, I’ve never been more in love with my clients and I take pride and staying current with the latest trends and style, as well as continue to actively flourish in my education to bring nothing but the best experience to my guests
For as long as I can remember, I’ve always truly enjoyed helping others find their inner beauty through the creativity of hair. But I love the most about being a stylist is helping women to not only love their hair, but feel beautiful inside and out. The best for me is watching my clients leave after every visit, feeling blissful, confident, and the best version of themselves. That feeling will never get old!

Tanya has been doing hair for 32 years. Started in North Carolina, coming to CA 2005 and starting a fresh new clientele . Specializing in Natural Hair , protective styles, weaves. She has a love and passion for short hair cuts and genuinely loving her clients. She does not double book and gives all her attention to who is in her chair.

LUXURY COLOR SPECIALIST + MASTER STYLIST
I started hairstyling in 2004 after attending Douglas J Aveda Institute in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I
spent my first ten years behind the chair at a salon and spa while honing my skills. I was lucky
enough to receive education from top platform artists from Redken and Pureology along with
other top companies in professional haircare. I traveled to NYC to the infamous Redken
Exchange on 5 th Avenue for in depth color theory education. Today I love doing all hair colors,
especially blondes and natural reds. I also enjoy cutting short hairstyles like bobs and pixies and enjoy giving long hair movement and texture.
I married my husband in 2011 and after our oldest son was born he enlisted in the Navy which
brought us out to California. We have three boys, a daughter, who keep us extremely busy
between sports and extra curriculars. I love being able to come to the salon and spend time
with women and providing my guests amazing services. It’s imperative to have you time and
make sure that you’re filling your cup so you can be the best mother/wife/friend. By allowing
me the opportunity to work with you, you’re helping fill my cup. I truly love giving women
confidence through hair artistry. Your journey awaits. Treat yourself , you’re worth it!
